Dick Hyman and Bernd Lhotzky, Stridin’ the Classics. Another piano duet CD with Dick Hyman and the German stride pianist Bernd Lhotzky. Here they stride through 14 tracks worth of some of the World’s great classical pieces. Highly Recommended. Jazz Connaisseur JCCD 0347-2.

Rossano Sportiello, Piano On My Mind. The sensational Italian pianist at his finest here. Striding and swinging his way through 18 tracks. If you are not familiar with Rossano’s playing, check him out. He has monster chops. Jazz Connaisseur, JCCD 0345-2.

This is Valerie Gillespie’s third and newest CD titled "LIVE." She plays soprano, alto, tenor, flute, clarinet and sings on this one. Backed by Rick Steuart on keyboards, Tim George on electric bass and Joe Renda on drums. We had the pleasure of hearing her in person recently and we can tell you, this young lady can play! Dick Hyman and Dick Wellstood, "Stridemonster." This is a reissue of the Unisson LP DDA1006, with four extra tracks added. When this first came out it was to critical acclaim. Both of these gentlemen tear up the pianos. Sackville SKCD2-2064.
